This was Matteo Ricci, former mayor of Pesaro, Democratic Party MEP, and center-left candidate for the Marche region, responding to reporters at the end of a lengthy interrogation before prosecutor Maria Letizia Fucci as part of the Pesaro prosecutor's office's 'Foster Care' investigation.

"I thank the magistrates for their work. I feel very calm and determined, and now I'm back to doing what I've always done: campaigning among the people and for the people," Ricci concluded.
